What We Do
Kindle Hill Foundation is a qualified 501c3 nonprofit (EIN 88-1644015) that provides discounted and pre-funded mental health services to a variety of clients, including first responders, teachers, adolescents, and other individuals seeking improved mental health. Equine assisted learning and therapy are supplemental and additive to traditional therapeutic methods, and they can be easily integrated into a client's treatment program. Most of our costs for services are covered by our endowment, grants, and donations from the public. All of our contributions go directly into programs.
Those who spend a lot of time with horses often say “my horse knows more about me than I do”—there is a reason for that. Horses are authentic and can help us discover our better selves in a real-time experience. Ultimately, this translates to self-acceptance, more meaningful relationships with others, and a sense of peace. Your heart rate, respiration, blood pressure, and cortisol levels gradually decrease as you safely connect with these gentle animals. You'll learn to rewire your brain as you experience the tactile sensation of grooming and its calming effect on your mind and body.
Our equine-assisted learning, therapy, and training services present a fresh, hands-on modality to learn about the world of horses and how they can enlighten us about our communication styles, social and professional interactions, and self-care.
Our Equine-Assisted Learning provides the tools to learn and develop leadership empathy, negotiation, partnering, and nuanced nonverbal communication skills.
Our Equine-Assisted Therapy is facilitated with a licensed therapist, which can be supplemental or additive to traditional therapeutic methods, and can be easily integrated into a client's treatment program.
Our First Responder Equine-Assisted Training focuses on the two critical goals of developing advanced de-escalation, negotiation, and partnering skills, as well as techniques for managing stress, anxiety, and other demands of the first responder culture. Kindle Hill Foundation is the only facility in the country which offers Equine-Assisted Training for Law Enforcement.
