What We Do

Kindle Hill Foundation is a qualified 501c3 nonprofit (EIN 88-1644015) that provides discounted and pre-funded mental health services to a variety of clients, including first responders, teachers, adolescents, children, and other individuals seeking improved mental health. Equine assisted learning and therapy are supplemental and additive to traditional therapeutic methods, and they can be easily integrated into a client's treatment program. Most of our costs for services are covered by our endowment, grants, and donations from the public. All of our contributions go directly into programs.

Welcome to Kindle Hill Foundation

When life feels overwhelming and traditional approaches to healing seem out of reach, sometimes the path forward comes from an unexpected source. At Kindle Hill Foundation, in Blue Bell, Montgomery County, PA, we believe in the extraordinary power of horses to touch lives and transform hearts. Our mission is deeply rooted in the understanding that mental health challenges—whether stress, anxiety, depression, or PTSD—don't discriminate, affecting individuals, children, adults, families, and entire communities. We've witnessed firsthand how these gentle, intuitive animals can break through barriers that words alone cannot reach, offering a unique form of healing that speaks to something fundamental within us. Our horses are more than therapeutic partners; they are natural healers who mirror our emotions, respond to our energy, and guide us toward authentic self-discovery in ways that feel both profound and surprisingly accessible.

Our comprehensive Equine Assisted Learning (EAL) and Equine Assisted Therapy (EAT) programs are thoughtfully designed to meet you exactly where you are in your journey. Whether you're a child struggling with social anxiety, an adult navigating depression, a family working to rebuild connection, or a first responder carrying the weight of traumatic experiences, our programs understand the complexity of your challenges. We recognize that healing isn't one-size-fits-all, which is why our approach is tailored to address both personal and professional obstacles that may be holding you back. Through ground-based activities with our horses, participants develop essential life skills including emotional regulation, communication, trust-building, and resilience—all within a safe, non-judgmental environment where growth happens naturally. Our licensed therapists and trained facilitators work alongside these remarkable animals to create experiences that foster genuine breakthrough moments and lasting change.

The ultimate goal of every program at Kindle Hill Foundation extends far beyond our pastures and into the fabric of daily life. We're committed to helping individuals and families reclaim not just their mental health, but their relationships, their sense of purpose, and their hope for the future. For our first responders, this means providing specialized support that enables them to process trauma, develop healthy coping strategies, and return to their vital work with renewed strength and clarity. For families, it means rebuilding trust and communication patterns that create lasting harmony at home. For individuals of all ages, it means discovering inner resources they never knew they possessed and developing the confidence to navigate life's challenges with greater resilience. Every success story that walks through our gates reminds us why this work matters: because everyone deserves the chance to heal, grow, and thrive, and sometimes that chance comes on four legs with a gentle heart and an intuitive spirit.
